On January 20th, 2018 thousands of powerful women and men joined together on the Upper West Side of Manhattan to stand up for women's rights. People supporting numerous feminist movements such as #MeToo, #EndTheWageGap, and #TimesUp grabbed their posters and decked out in pink to stand up for what they believe in. Getting to march alongside fellow empowered people was truly inspiring. Below are some photographs of the masses of the march, as well as three individuals' take on the march.

"Being a female police officer is challenging, people don't always show you the same respect that your male colleagues receive. So even though I'm working today, I stand with the women's march and the message behind it one hundred percent."

"This sign's been through many a march. (It is) probably older than you, dear."

"Getting to march alongside my friends is the greatest gift. They inspire me and I hopefully inspire them. It's a cycle of inspiration."
Inspiration can be found anywhere, go inspire others, and let them inspire you. Maybe you could inspire your own march, a march like this one that meant so much to these women, and to so many more all around the world. The women's march has had a great impact on girls and women everywhere, it shows all of us that we can stand up for our rights, that we can make a difference, and that we are important.
